Creating new neighbourhoods is as much about building community as constructing new homes and buildings.
Our Community Trust will play a key part in developing the community, existing and new spaces will host a wide range of activities to bring people together.
From early 2020 a new exciting town centre will be delivered, offering something for everyone. The development will provide sustainable growth in Whitehill & Bordon taking a community of 14,000 people to one with 23,000 people. Our vision is to make Whitehill & Bordon one of the most desirable places to live, work and play in the region.
The Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company (WBRC) is a joint venture between Dorchester Regeneration and Taylor Wimpey appointed by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation to redevelop the former Prince Philip barracks in Whitehill & Bordon.
Plans for the town centre include new shops, cafes and office space; a Makers Market including business space, a community hub and heritage centre as well as a covered market hall; the proposed new leisure centre with six lane swimming pool, fitness centre and studios; a four-screen cinema and new theatre in the former Sergeant’s Mess; a landscaped ‘Arrival Square’, ‘Town Square’ and ‘Town Park’; Energy Centre; residential apartments and maisonettes; and supporting transport options e.g bus stops.
